Study the entire Qur’an in one year.
Each week, students will be assigned a section of the Qur’an to read in translation. During class, the section will be reviewed, along with a breakdown of essential words and phrases from the original Arabic.
Classes will explore major themes, unpack difficult vocabulary, provide spiritual insights, and offer historical context around the verses. Each session will close with a guided reflection exercise and an open Q&A dialogue.
Students will also have the opportunity to review their recitation with Imam Deeb during dedicated office hours, as well as monthly sessions with Shaykh Abdallah Deeb.
We aim to make Fard al-Ayn education not only beautiful, relevant and enjoyable, but also affordable. That is why at Pillars, for students who cannot afford our tuition, they pay what they can.
This program is for anyone who is looking to understand the Quran in its entirety and foster a personal and intimate relationship with the words of Allah SWT.
No Arabic knowledge is required; however, it is preferred.
Having a teacher to guide you through the Qur’an is indispensable. The right teacher will contextualise readings to foster deeper understanding.
The course will also draw from multiple classical Tafsir books that are not available in English, and explain rulings in the Qur’an that are not meant to be learned by reading a book.
Expect to spend roughly 1 hour on readings per week, outside of class time.
The Scriptures Program is the first of its kind. You’ll have the opportunity to learn from world-renowned scholars who are committed to helping you develop your relationship with the words of Allah swt.
